Yesterday, the Intercept released an audio recording of the number 2 Democrat in the House, Steny Hoyer, telling a progressive candidate, Levi Tillemen, to leave his Congressional primary because he wasn’t the DCCC’s pick. Worse yet, Rep. Hoyer admitted that they were rigging the election.
This is outrageous. Rep. Hoyer is clearly not committed to ensuring Democrats have open and fair elections and that’s why we’re calling on him to step down from leadership immediately.
